CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE IT IS OCTOBER?? Hockey season is just days away. Connor, Hoagie and I are just about settled into our new apartment, minus the fact we don't have dining chairs. We love being close to NYC, and Hoboken is the cutest place. We have been exploring all new restaurants and finding our spots. The water makes for the perfect place to walk the dog, and soak in the sites of the skyline. It is beautiful!
A sober September update, Connor did his with flying colors, no surprise there. Mine went well, I ordered a glass of wine before the end and decided I wasn't into it. But when I went to Toronto for my friends birthday I definitely indulged. I felt it was the right decision and don't regret it. I will say, after having those few drinks I slept terribly. Not having any alcohol led to amazing, deep sleep. I am going to tread lightly with the drinking because I just FEEL better. I'm hoping this will lead me into a little wellness lifestyle shift because I haven't been intentional with my eating or movement.
Connor has officially made the New Jersey Devils, he is honored to make a roster out of camp. It was not long ago, he played his first NHL game with the Washington Capitals, at the home opener for the Blackhawks. They just so happened to be raising the cup banner that night.. not intimidating at all!! Training Camp is a stressful time for most players, everyone is fighting to make the team and there is no guarantee any one player will make it. We always reflect on the difference in tone each season, grateful we can get an apartment, not live in a hotel, move in, etc. etc. It is hard to not allow your mind to go to the "what if", but we have decided we are strapped in and are going to enjoy this ride no matter what.
I have been LOVING working with Beautycounter. I missed working.. more on that later. I am excited to share our Holiday Collection with everyone. A little sneak peak.. many items under $50. Hoagie, loves it here in New Jersey. Every morning he pulls to go look at the water! He is happy to be reunited with his bed, and is chill now that the suitcases are put away.
